Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic our brief has had to change and adapt. Please see seperate pages on the website
Our Community Transport Scheme serves all residents of South West Ross-shire who, for whatever reason, are unable to use public transport for their journey and have no means of private transport. It can be used for any local journeys, e.g. to access surgeries, mobile clinics, services, shops and amenities, church, community events, onward public transport or just to visit friends... If you’re not sure just ask!
Unfortunately, unlike taxis, we are unable to take bookings for travel on the same day as booking and we are not permitted to provide service where public transport is available or to and from work regularly .... or to the pub!
Our volunteers' time is a valuable resource and so we will always endeavour to help those in most need first.
Our team of transport co-ordinators will match your travel requirements with a local driver and will arrange for them to pick you up in good time.
As the service is provided by volunteers, we need as much advance notice as possible – preferably at least 48hrs – in order to find a suitable volunteer for your journey requirements. If you could provide more notice that would be helpful. All bookings are subject to availability of drivers and will be serviced on a first come, first served basis.
