PRESS RELEASE for release on 30 July, 2020

South West Ross Community Car Scheme is pleased to announce the availability of Driver Bubbles. These shields can be installed easily into the cars of our volunteer drivers to provide a barrier between the driver and passenger. While not providing 100% protection, they do offer an additional layer of protection from the transmission of Covid 19 for both driver and passenger.

With the availability of Driver Bubbles we are hoping that we can begin to take more passengers in the coming months to hospital appointments, local medical surgeries, optician appointments and dental appointments.

South West Ross Community Car Scheme continues to deliver prescriptions to members of our communities and is available for other deliveries when necessary. Every effort is being made to follow protocols and support our wonderful volunteers to make all of our activities as safe as we can.

The Drivers Bubbles have been made available with thanks to Torridon and Kinlochewe Community Council and funding from HIE Supporting Communities Fund.
