South West Ross Community Car Scheme
SWRCCS New Projects for 2024-7
SWRCCS has been successful in securing 3 years of funding for the following projects. They will be assessed as they go along to look at their long term viability. If these initiative are not used then we will lose them for the area so please think about using them when you can.
1. A Community Car for SW Ross
A dedicated wheelchair accessible vehicle that is available for us by volunteer drivers doing runs for SWRCCS and is also available for use by small groups to access cultural, education and sporting events wider afield.
UPDATE: Nov 24: A temporary vehicle has been secured while the Highland Council identifies a suitable WAV vehicle for us. It seats up to 9 people and is available now.

When accessing the vehicle, drivers will be asked to complete the checks form.
2. Transport Access for Groups
A grant programme for small local groups to access a grant to contribute towards transport hire costs of minibus or coach to get to cultural, educational or sporting events. For criteria and application form please download here
